What we expect from you
- More than 3 years’ experience as a 1st pipefitter
- In possession of a VCA certificate
- In possession of a WFPr certificate
- Experience in the (petro)chemical industry, demonstrable with a current CV
- Knowledge of piping structure, construction methods and (stress-free) assembly of common piping systems
- Able to work independently
- Able to work from an isometric drawing
- Speaking English at a minimum intermediate level
- Possess a driving licence
About the position
The work in this position consists of (pre)manufacturing and installing pipelines at a petrochemical refinery near Rotterdam. You will also determine pipe lengths, cut/cut/grind pipes to the correct length, prepare welds and bend/mount/join pipe sections. You pressurise welded pipe sections and then assemble them tension-free with fittings, gaskets and the like. Finally, you fix pipe systems and flange connections according to the correct procedures by means of key work, building constructions and placing supports. In short: a specific job requiring accuracy and craftsmanship.
