We are looking for experienced CO2 welders for projects in heavy steel construction. As a CO2 welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding heavy steel components using CO2 welding techniques.

What we expect from you
- Demonstrable experience as a CO2 welder in heavy steel construction projects
- In-depth knowledge of CO2 welding processes and techniques
- Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and welding specifications
- Good knowledge of welding marks and welding codes
- Skilled in welding heavy steel components with CO2 welding equipment
- Accuracy and ability to produce high-quality welds
- Familiar with safety procedures around welding
- Good physical condition and fine motor skills
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent qualification

About the position
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and welding specifications
- Setting up welding equipment, including CO2 welding equipment and associated tools
- Welding heavy steel components with CO2 techniques according to project requirements
- Ensure correct fusion, penetration and weld quality according to standards
- Conduct inspections and quality checks on welds to meet project specifications
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance
- Follow safety protocols and keep the workplace neat and organised
- Follow project planning and meet deadlines
